The idea and the plan

The idea: stores that pick and pack their own orders walk the shelves once per order, from order printouts that don’t say where anything is. We wanted one list for many orders, in the order of the shelves.

The plan we started from:

• Batch lists sorted by bin location, with a tote for every order, so batch-picked items go back to the right order.
• A lean copy of the catalog for what order lines lack (SKU, barcode, bin, vendor, type), kept fresh by Shopify as products change.
• Orders read live when printing, and no customer data stored.
• Print where merchants already work: from the app, and from Shopify admin’s Print menu.
• Pricing by monthly orders, not features: every plan includes everything, starting with a free plan.
